a. Superior Court. Misdemeanor actions may be commenced in Superior Court by indictment, or by information filed directly in Superior Court.
b. Courts of Limited Jurisdiction. Misdemeanor and petty offense actions triable in limited jurisdiction courts shall be commenced by utilizing the Uniform Traffic Ticket and Complaint or other short form complaint approved by the Arizona Supreme Court, or by a long form complaint pursuant to Rule 2.3 of these rules.
